Why does the application route matter?
A destination may use different rules for an eVisa upload, a printed consular application, a visa centre appointment, or live biometric capture. PassPhoto shows the route first instead of treating one country size as universal.
Does PassPhoto automatically edit every visa photo?
No. Automatic processing is available only when the published route supports it. If the authority requires an original image, live capture, or a local provider, PassPhoto opens the guidance page and does not modify the photo.
Which destinations are covered?
The coverage programme follows the top 50 international travel destinations in the UN Tourism January 2025 statistical annex. Only destinations with a completed official-source review appear as supported routes; the remaining destinations are added as their visa workflows are verified.
Does a 35 x 45 mm photo always equal 413 x 531 pixels?
No. 413 x 531 pixels is only the approximate 300 PPI conversion of a 35 x 45 mm print. It is not a universal visa upload rule. Use the portal-specific pixel and file-size instructions when they exist.
Is my photo private?
Local file checks and manual cropping run in your browser. A photo is sent to a processing provider only when you choose a supported processing feature. Review the privacy policy for the current details.
Does PassPhoto guarantee visa acceptance?
No. PassPhoto explains published requirements and can check limited file properties, but the embassy, consulate, immigration authority, or authorised visa centre makes the final decision.
