Common Visa Photo Mistakes and How to Avoid Them
The most important mistake is using a generic country size without checking the exact application route. An eVisa upload, printed application, visa centre, and live-capture appointment can use different rules.
Using the wrong route
Start with the destination authority and then confirm the visa type, application portal, and submission location. Do not convert a common print size into pixels unless the portal asks for that digital format.
Changing the image when editing is restricted
Some authorities prohibit retouching, synthetic background replacement, or other alteration. PassPhoto blocks automatic processing on reviewed routes where the original image or live capture is required.
Missing basic photo conditions
