Reviewed against Polish government, consular, and authorised-centre guidance on 17 July 2026
Schengen C and national D routes share the same core dimensions. The filing location still controls whether the background must be white, whether one or two prints are needed, and whether the image may be captured at the appointment.
Background and crop only. PassPhoto never changes facial features or identity.

Official baseline
Central national-visa guidance and local Schengen pages agree on the dimensions, age, framing, pose, expression, and eye visibility. Local instructions settle the remaining intake details.

Route and filing-location differences
Local C-type page
The current Croatia consular page asks for one sharp 35 Γ 45 mm colour image on quality paper, newer than six months, with 70β80% face coverage.
Official C-type pageCentral Schengen rule
Poland's MOS says a Schengen applicant submits an ICAO-compliant image or has one taken at the application. Availability depends on the place receiving the file.
Official MOS guidanceNational visa checklist
The current Malaysia/Brunei national-visa checklist asks for two 35 Γ 45 mm images and says they must not be stapled to the application form.
Official national checklistPassPhoto can create a white or uniform light background and crop to 35 Γ 45 mm with 70β80% face coverage. It never changes skin, hair, facial geometry, expression, clothing, or identity. Because an official route says no retouch, you decide whether to use the edited result after checking your filing instructions.

A 35 x 45 mm colour image is the consistent official baseline across the Polish Schengen C and national D visa sources reviewed here. The face should occupy 70 to 80 percent of the image and the photo should be no more than six months old.
Many Polish consular pages specify a white background, while the central national-visa guidance uses a uniform light background. Follow the page or checklist for the mission or authorised centre receiving your application. White is the common conservative print choice.
There is no universal copy count. Current C-type pages and some authorised-centre checklists describe one colour image. Other national study and work checklists require two. The route-specific list controls even when the 35 x 45 mm format is unchanged.
The official visa sources reviewed here describe a physical 35 x 45 mm print and do not publish one national visa-upload pixel limit. Use a pixel size or file-size value only when the official portal or receiving office publishes it.
PassPhoto still allows background replacement, but an official Polish work-visa checklist says no retouch. Use the tool only after deciding whether an edited result is suitable for your exact filing route. PassPhoto changes only the background and crop, never the face, skin, hair, expression, clothing, or identity.
The central Polish MOS guidance says a Schengen applicant submits an ICAO-compliant image or may have one taken at the time of application. Local consular pages often instruct applicants to bring a printed 35 x 45 mm image, so confirm the intake method before attending.
Dark glasses are generally excluded unless a documented sight condition applies. Religious head coverings can be accepted when the full face remains visible, but local guidance may require supporting evidence. Clear prescription glasses should not hide the eyes or create glare.
No. PassPhoto prepares a downloadable crop and background. You arrange any required photo-quality printing and submit through the Polish consulate, embassy, or authorised service provider handling your application.
